There is NO CAP on the Oil pipeline.
It's a deception.
What they have done is place a piece of metal which allows the flow of oil through vents on the "cap" out of the pipe line. They have placed the cap near the pipeline. It is not actually tightly fastened to the pipe.
There is no seal. The "cap" has vents which allow the oil to escape. If the "vents" were closed the "Cap" would be unstable and fly away from the pipe, forced away by the gushing oil which would create more public relations nightmares. The Cap isn't doing anything. It's there for appearance.
I'm not there, I'm not privy to any information. But I can see what's happening because I have had the experience of watering a lawn and I don't believe in the description of the world as provided to me by my mommy and daddy, teachers, police and authorites in general. I prefer my own common sense to what the experts have to say. I'll stick with that.
A hose with water gushing out of it does not allow a nozzle to be placed on top of it without extreme force. It's that simple.
At 5,000 feet below the surface without using hands and not being able to screw anything on the pipe which has no threads. It's just impossible.
Iv'e said this before. The Gulf of Mexico is going to be destroyed.
That's obvious.
They should never have cut the pipe, it made it worse. A garden hose with a crimp emits less water. Cutting the garden hose behind the crimp unevenly opens up more water flow and makes it more difficult to find something that can be put on the uneven cut onto the garden hose.
This is STUPID STUFF.
It's isn't going to be solved by public relations.
it's going to be solved, if ever, by allowing intelligence to intervene. Not public relations.
The Cap is not stopping the flow at all. It's strictly for public relations.
These "meetings" Obama is having with BP are more public relations to show he is on top of it.
It's wasted time. Time that could be spent talking to the MILITARY...who probably have the beginnings of a solution in their grasp.
They may have to build from scratch a custom submersible to go down there and handle the situation.
That's what they should be doing. Not pretending to address the problem.
